マグマの隆起、地殻変動により生成されたダイナミックな大蔵山の物語を、ガラスのドームで閉じ込めたランプ。表面は伊達冠石の石肌と水磨き、内側は鏡面磨きで仕上げられている。磨かれた面に照明の明かりが反射する。

A lamp that encloses the dynamic story of Okurayama created by crustal deformation and uplift of magma, with a glass dome. The surface is finished with the natural surface and a water polished surface of the Daté Kan Stone, while the interior is mirror polished. The illumination of the light reflects on the polished surface.

1971年イスラエル生まれ。イスラエルのアートスクールを卒業後、オランダのヘリット・リートフェルト・アカデミーにてプロダクトデザインを学んだ。
2005年、パリ市内にデザインスタジオを開設。最先端のテクノロジーから伝統的な工法まで様々な手段を用い、主にプロダクトデザイン、空間デザインなどを手がけている。こうしたプロダクトはニュー・デザイン・ミュージアム（シカゴ）、ムダム・ミュージア（ルクセンブルク）、FNACファンデーション（パリ）、V&A（ロンドン）、ホロン・デザイン・ミュージアム（イスラエル）などに収蔵されている。

Born in 1971 in Jerusalem, Israel. Studied Industrial Design at Bezalel Academy: School of Art and Design in Jerusalem (1999-2001). He then moved to the Netherlands where he graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 2002 (BA in industrial/product design). After his graduation he set up his studio in Amsterdam.
In 2005 he moved his studio to Paris where he still works. Dan‘s work stretches from space to objects - and everything in between - and in various methods, from classic craft work to cutting edge technologies.
